Privacy Policy

Zecher, Inc. ("Zecher," "we," "us," or "our") explains in this policy how we collect, use, disclose, and delete information when you use the Zecher mobile application and related services at invest.zecher.ai. We do not sell personal information.
Information we collect
Information you provide:
- Name, email address, and phone number
- Password, stored as a one-way hash
- Monthly income, cost of living, and the goals you enter during onboarding
- Financial documents you upload, such as bank and credit card statements
Financial information from accounts you choose to link through Plaid:
- Account names, types, masks, and balances
- Transaction history used to show activity and calculate cost of living
If you send money, you may pick a phone number from your contacts. The contact list stays on your device. We receive only the phone number you select, so we can find another Zecher user.
When the app calls our servers, those servers record standard logs such as IP address, request time, and app version. We use that for security and to operate the service. We do not use an advertising or cross-app tracking SDK.
How we use information
- Create and secure your account
- Show net worth, balances, cash flow, and your card
- Answer questions in the AI coach using your balances, goals, and documents
- Calculate cost of living from statements you upload
- Send money to another Zecher user when you ask us to
- Detect unauthorized activity and comply with law
- Respond to support and privacy requests
The AI coach sends the question and a summary of your financial data to our AI provider to generate a reply. We do not use your data to train public models, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Plaid, to connect the financial institutions you choose
- Supabase, for authentication, database storage, and document storage
- Vercel, to host our API
- Our AI provider, to generate coach replies and statement summaries
- Authorities when the law requires it
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with data brokers.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and financial information while your account is open. If you close your account or ask us to delete it, we delete or anonymize personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law. Financial transaction records required for tax or banking rules may be kept for up to 7 years. When you unlink a bank, we revoke the Plaid connection and delete Plaid-derived data that we are not required to keep within 30 days.
Email privacy@zecher.ai to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your data. We acknowledge requests within 5 business days and complete deletion of data we are not required to keep within 30 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit with TLS. Database access is limited with row-level security so each person can read their own records. No method of storage is perfectly secure. Keep your password private.
Children
Zecher is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have, we delete it.
Changes
We will post changes on this page. If a change is significant, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
